My Background

      I.E.P. Educational Advocacy

Catherine A. Gingras, M.A,CCC-SLP is the founder of IEP Educational Advocacy - serving NorthShore, Merrimac Valley and Southern New Hampshire. She has training from Wrightslaw and the Massachusetts Federation for Children with Special Needs. She holds degrees in Speech Language Pathology, Communications and is nationally certified by ASHA. Her 35 year career includes extensive advocating for children with special needs and classroom experience with students in special education.

The breadth and depth of experience and education Catherine has culminated combine to make her advocacy services truly exceptional. Her rich background provides an expert foundation that supports parents in helping to maximize their child’s educational success. What this translates to is a more thorough, thoughtful, and efficient advocacy process with the highest likelihood of success.

  • Experience working with Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, ADD, Speech/Language Delays, Communication, Learning Disabilities, Hearing Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Cleft Palate, Voice Disorders, Visually Impaired, Emotional Handicaped, Developmental Delays, Reading Disabilities,   Phonemic Awarenes.
  • 35 years in Public Education as Speech/Language Pathologist providing diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic services, Parent Consultations, and facilitator / coordinator for IEP meetings
  • Early Intervention provider for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children with Colorado State Department of Education.
  • Worked in Private Practice, Clinics and with State Departments of Education in Hawaii, Colorado, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
