I.E.P. Educational Advocacy celebrating 35 years of delivering results based special education services.
Insuring your child receives the education and assistance to which he or she is entitled to is my mission. As a trained Special Educational Advocate, I provide experience and perspective very few can offer parents today. I am not a lawyer - I'm a speech and language pathologist who delivered results in special education for more than 35 years. I strive to have children achieve their maximum potential by capitalizing on their strengths. The majority of my life has been spent helping students with special needs and their families. Early Home Intervention, Pre-School through High School and young adults have been my clientele. My many years of advocating allow me to offer empathy, guidance and understanding that can only come from such personal experience. Understanding the special education process can seem complex and daunting. I will help parents understand the special education process and become more effective partners with their child’s school.
Assisting parents in educational-related advocacy as quickly and inexpensively as possible is strived for. I have successfully addressed a wide variety of school issues, including special education, IEP services, placements, 504 plans, discipline and bullying. I have experience in the areas of Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, Speech and Language Disorders, Developmental Delays, Dyslexia, Anxiety, Emotional Disabilities, Language Based Learning Disabilities, Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Visual Impairments, Hearing Impairment and Physical Disabilities.
Problem solving to insure your child is properly taken care of now and well into the future will be discussed. I have a history of
helping parents of children with special needs understand the educational
system and what is available for their child. By capitalizing on their strengths I help students to obtain their full potential.
